The studies have shown the drug to be efficacious.
In a 52 week study, it was seen that those participants who took the higher dose of the new pill lost 6.1 percent of their body weight, those who received the lower dose shed 5 percent of their body weight and those who were administered the placebo lost 1.3 percent of their body weight.
According to researchers, this supplement will be helpful for those people to whom craving interferes with their ability to stay on a diet.
