This diet menu is suitable for the children who are 2 to 6 years old:Child Nutrition

Breakfast:

  • 100% fruit juice: 1cup
  • Oats: ½ cup

Mid Morning Snack:

Lunch:

  • Try to give or offer five servings of fruits and vegetables in a day. The fruits and vegetables contain the necessary proteins and carbohydrates which are essential for the growth of your child.
  • From several foods choose healthy sources of protein such as nuts, lean meat and eggs.
  • Serve cereals and whole grain breads to your children daily because these contents will be high in fiber.
  • Avoid fried foods. Instead of fried foods give grill, boil or steamed foods.
  • Limit consumption of junk food and fast food.
  • Avoid or limit sugary fruit drinks and sodas. Offer water and milk instead of them.

  • Don’t let your child to consume the total fat content foods. Most probably avoid the foods which are high in fat and sugar content.
